Thrown to the Wolves 3 (Black River Pack Series) by Rochelle Paige Blog Tour
Annora Channing's entire world changes the moment she discovers she's a bear shifter. With mated wolves for parents, she should have been a wolf also. When the man she grew up thinking was her father realizes she isn't his daughter, he devises a plan to use her existence to his advantage in a way that will get her out from under his roof.
When her situation goes from bad to worse, Annora escapes but is badly injured in the process. Luckily, Elias Reve comes to her rescue while on his way to Wolf's Point and the daughter he lost years ago. With nowhere else to go and nobody to turn to, Annora joins him on his journey and ends up running smack-dab into the arms of her mate.
Parker Tate knows Annora is his the moment he lays eyes on her. When he manages to mate and mark her within hours of when they meet, he considers himself lucky. Then the trouble nipping at Annora's heels finds her and Parker realizes the path to claiming his mate won't be as easy as he thought - especially not with the bears involved.
This is book three in the Black River Pack series. Each novella features a different couple.
Barnes and Noble:
My heart raced at the thought of finally finding her—the woman who was destined to be my mate. My brothers liked to tease me about being a bit of a white knight because I had a habit of helping women who were in distress, but I couldn’t stop myself from doing it. Ever since our grandmother had told me that my mate would have been discarded by her family, I’d struggled with the knowledge that she could be out there somewhere, desperately in need of help, without my being able to give it to her. So I’d compensated by aiding other women in the hope that someone else would be there for my mate when I couldn’t be. If Eliza’s dream was right, then I might not have to wait much longer.
“When?” I rasped out. “Were there any signs pointing to when she would be here?”
“I can’t be sure,” Eliza said with a look of apology on her face. “But I feel like it might be this winter.”
“Thank fuck,” I whispered, a huge wave of relief rolling through me.
The door had just started to close behind them, so I almost missed her dad’s next words. Thank fuck I didn’t though.
“Besides which, I left Annora at the table when I saw you pull up,” he explained. “Poor girl probably thinks I’ve abandoned her, and she’s still too sore to move quickly enough to catch up to me.”
“Annora,” I whispered in wonder.
My brain was catching up to my wolf as I grabbed the door and swung it open to catch up to them only to stop dead in my tracks. The scent that drifted to me was sweeter than anything I’d ever smelled before. Like cotton candy on a hot summer’s day.
Breathing deeply, I zeroed in on the curvy brunette sitting in the corner booth. She really was here. My mate.
Crying Wolf (book 1) -- 5 Stars
The story of Grace and Hunter.
If you know me, you know my favorite genre of all is paranormal (specifically: shifter) romance. I could tell from the opening few pages of this story that I would love it, and I did! Though shifters tend to mate quickly, I felt the author plotted out the story in a believable manor and time frame.
Grace is a woman (human) with a dangerous past that is trying to catch up to her. Hunter is an alpha werewolf. Of course sparks fly, and the hotness did not disappoint!
Shoot For The Moon (book 2) -- 4 Stars
The story of Eliza and Spencer. I must say I enjoyed the first story better. I felt like story 1 had an actual obstacle to overcome. Story 2 just had stubbornness.
Both wolf shifters, one of them knew they were destined to mate - though fought it. I enjoyed Eliza, but wish there was more depth to Spencer. It is mentioned that he is the sheriff in book 1, yet in book 2, he never works or gets called. He also is the clan enforcer, but we don't see any of that either.
The author did set up for book 3 nicely, and I have high hopes it could be the best in the series. Poor Parker seems to be the only one that works nonstop! He deserves a little happiness and his own mate!
Thrown To The Wolves (book 3) -- 5 Stars
The story of Annora and Parker. I liked this third/final story of the trilogy the best! More action, more descriptive sex.
After seeing what all Parker did for his family in the first two books, I really rooted for him to get his own happy ending. This book did not disappoint! I really felt the excitement and anxiety as he waited to meet his fated mate. Though he is not a leader of his wolf clan, he is still fiercely alpha. His mate is not human, nor wolf shifter - which I think was a great spin.
I hope to see more of the characters in a spin-off series. Specifically the bear triplet males.
Overall, a great shifter series!

I absolutely adore reading - always have and always will. My friends growing up used to tease me when I would trail after them, trying to read and walk at the same time. If I have downtime, odds are you will find me reading or writing.
I am the mother of two wonderful sons who have inspired me to chase my dream of being an author. I want them to learn from me that you can live your dream as long as you are willing to work for it.
When I told my mom that my new year's resolution was to self-publish a book in 2013, she pretty much told me "About time!"
